Our Trip to the Fair

October 10, 2012

Fall just doesn’t seem like fall without a trip to the fair. This being our first fall in Georgia, I had to seek out a fair.  This was also the first fair I’ve ever been to that wasn’t in Tulsa.  I have to say, this one didn’t really compare as far as the things I typically enjoy at the fair but the kids had a good time and since we got there so early, we got in free.  So overall, fair was a success.

Right now Evie thinks everything is ‘scary’.  She isn’t really scared she just likes saying that. So at the first animal thing the cow was scary. The goat was scary. The alpaca was scary.  SCEH-WY!!!!

A sceh-wy goat.

Some sceh-wy baby pigs.

Thad enjoyed his first fair, Ergo style.

I’m not sure why I can’t learn that this is what happens when I attempt cutesy posed photos. Family ahead of us, all the children hugging each other and smiling.  I get this picture in my head of how this is going to go. It so doesn’t go that way.  Child screaming, child wandering away, nobody wanting to look at the camera let alone smile.

Much better smile. Ok, Evie still isn’t looking at the camera but one out of two isn’t bad.  This was the first time we ever let them ride ‘fair rides’.   Wow.. its like some sort of drug.  First off these ride tickets were $1 a PIECE and each ride takes at least 2.  $2 to go around in a circle five times.  As soon as we got them off the ride, something clicked and Rett realized he could go ON all these rides so he started crying/throwing a fit pointing to every moving object in sight.  Why did we do this again?

Oh yah, that’s why.
